Knapp, Lucinda. “Tucker Neel : Confabulations.” Flavorpill LA, Jan. 16, 2008.

Frustrated debutantes, overdressed crocodiles, and bandaged aristocrats parade through Tucker Neel's latest exhibition. The LA artist conjures up witty, intriguing imagery in his delicate ink drawings. The appropriate title, Confabulation, means to create, through imagination, a new memory to replace one that has faded or been deliberately forgotten. Of the 200 delightful drawings that will fill the gallery walls through the course of the show, some bring a menagerie of charming characters, others more sinister images. Dipping into personal experience, Neel's pen-and-ink Polaroids touch on a past half-remembered, capturing thoughts and feelings half-written.
